Missouri Bicentennial Quilt Reveal

Pleasant Hill participated in the Missouri Bicentennial celebrations hosted by the State Historical Society of Missouri by submitting (and winning!) a quilt square to be included in the Bicentennial quilt. While Pleasant Hill was going to host the quilt as it toured the state, the COVID-19 pandemic prevented that from happening. However, in July 2021, the quilt was revealed at the Missouri Governor’s mansion with a reception hosted by First Lady Theresa Parsons.

A duplicate quilt square was made to commemorate the event and was framed along with the invitation to the reveal and the email acceptance of the winning square to hang inside the church. This was donated by VP, Angie Wagner.

Below are pictures of the event and framed quilt square.
